The Human Movement Science Department offers 4 double-major BSc programmes with our partner departments.
The double-major programmes on offer are:
Mainstream (Human Movement Science as a major)
(i) A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with passes allowing entry to degree studies is
required. (NSC-Deg) or its approved foreign (equivalent).
(ii) A minimum of 30 NSC points.
(iii) A pass of at least 60% (level 5) in Mathematics.
(iv) A pass of at least 50% (level 4) in English.
(v) A pass of at least 50% (level 4) in Physical Sciences
BSc (Human Movement Science) gives students an opportunity to follow a professional career as a qualified coach, coaching manager, sport official or exercise scientist. Students focus on the following coaching practices: the development of training programs, sports nutrition, biomechanics of sport, physiology and sports performance, medical considerations in sport, sport psychology and risk management.
