Biography:

Quintin Schutte is a lecturer in Access Science Department and has been lecturing at the University of Zululand for 5 years now. This is his third year lecturing the Augmented Zoology class in the Department of Science Access. He started lecturing in the Department of Zoology in 2016, where he lectured the second-year module Vertebrate diversity and first year Human Anatomy and Physiology modules.

Research interests: 

His research focus is on estuarine fish ecology,  on community and population studies in KwaZulu-Natal estuaries. He is currently doing writing up on his PhD working on the Richards Bay Harbour and Mhlathuze Estuaries. 

Past projects include the fish community studies the  St Lucia System, Mfolozi-Msunduzi estuary, Mlalazi and Amatikulu estuaries.
