Biography:

Ms Mmbulaheni Ramulindo is  Lecturer in Access Science Department and Started lecturing in 2017 under the department of Botany, teaching botany modules (first, second and third level). She joined the Science Access Department in 2020, and currently teaching augmented Botany modules.

Lecture’s the following modules:

  •  Introduction to plant cytology, genetics and physiology (4LBT111)
  • Morphology of Plants Introduction to Mycology (4LBT112)

Qualifications:

BSc (Biochemistry and Botany), Hons (Botany), MSc (Botany) and PGCE (Life sciences and Natural science)

Research interests:

  • Ethnobotany
  • Indigenous knowledge systems
  • Efficacy and safety of medicinal plants

  • Survey on medicinal plants used for the treatment of hypertension
  • Survey of food taboos and cultural beliefs
  • Toxicology study of medicinal plants
