Biography:

Dr CM van Jaarsveld has been in the academic field for more than 20 years and lectured various modules in Botany, Soil Science, and Agronomy.

 Lecture’s  the following modules:

  • 4BOT211 (Plant Growth and Development)
  • 4BOT321 (Aquatic Botany and Lower Plant
  • Taxonomy), 4BOT505 (General Botany)

Qualifications:
MSc (Plant Physiology) (NWU), PhD (Agronomy (UFS)

Research interests: 

Currently, traditional leafy vegetables, with focus on their growth requirements and nitrogen nutrition in pineapples. Previously, soil rehabilitation of mined-out land and biological nitrogen fixation in soybeans.
