Biography:
Lindokuhle Shongwe joined the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Zululand in 2016. He is an environmental scientist proficient with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and Google Earth Engine, and teaches the practical component of geography to first and second year students.
Qualifications:
BA Environ.Plan.&Dev, BAHons, MA Geography and Environmental Studies(UNIZULU).
Research interests:
Remote sensing and environmental management, especially land use and land cover change analysis, coastal land use management, urban and regional planning, and sustainable development. He is currently working on monitoring shoreline shift in KwaZulu Natal Lower-north coast using remote sensing. He also offers assistance on map work and land use analysis to Third year and Honours students.
