Biography:

Ms Nothile Ndimande is a human geographer with interest in sustainable development, environmental management and rural geography. She teaches modules of human geography from second year to honours level. The undergraduate modules are SGES212: Demographics health and sustainable development, SGES311:  Urban environment and recreation planning. At postgraduate level she teaches AGES506: Rural Geography. Nothile’s external portfolio of responsibilities includes being the Council Member of the Society of South African Geographers (since 2012).

Research Interest

The sustainable development, rural tourism, rural development and governance. She is currently working on rural governance and space production in the City of UMhlathuze. She has supervised and continues to supervise Honours students.
