Biography:
Prof I. Moyo is a C1 NRF Rated Researcher and an Associate Professor in Human Geography in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Zululand. Prof Moyo is a Human Geographer with a deep interest in the interface between people and the environment, particularly the broader fields of Political Geography, Political Economy, Political Ecology, Migration, Regional Development, Globalization and Transnationalism, Borders and Borderlands and Urban Geography, among others
I lecture the following modules:
- Introduction to Human Geography-1st year module
- Urban Environments and Recreation Planning- 3rd year module
- Urban Geography-Honours module
- Environmental Fieldwork and Research- Honours module
Qualifications:
PhD, (UNISA), MA cum laude (UWC), MA, BA Hons, GRAD CE (University of Zimbabwe), PGDip (HE) cum laude (UKZN), SMDP (Stellenbosch University)

Prof I Moyo is involved in a broad range of research activities within the field of Human Geography and they include;

- Urban Geography
Prof I Moyo also supervises several post graduate students on these topics/them
