Biography:
Dr Jiba has been assigned teaching roles at different levels. These levels include teaching and facilitating first-year Diploma students across all departments in the School of Agricultural Sciences, third-year students in Agricultural Economics, and final-year BSc students. He is also responsible for the co-supervision and mentoring of Masters students in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension. In addition to these roles, he is responsible for academic citizenship and community service through the Dr. Jiba Foundation, external examinations, agri-based community projects, and radio interviews on agricultural economic issues.

Research interests:
Furthermore, he is eager to delve deeper into the water-energy-food nexus, as it is crucial to comprehend the interconnectedness of these essential resources and develop sustainable solutions to complex challenges. Despite these complex challenges, Dr Jiba will primarily explore the dynamic interactions between water, energy, and food systems, with the aim of optimizing resource use, minimizing trade-offs, and enhancing resilience in the face of growing demand and environmental pressures. Specifically, he will analyze the impacts of water usage on energy production and agricultural activities, evaluate the potential for renewable energy sources in water and food production, and explore innovative agricultural practices that enhance resource efficiency. Moreover, he will consider policy frameworks, technological advancements, and behavioral changes that can foster greater integration and harmony among water, energy, and food systems.
