Biography:
Lecturer, teaching undergraduate course in agronomy (plant propagation). Vast knowledge in Horticulture science and technology includes, Plant production(hydroponics and open fields), post-harvest technology and horticultural practices of ornament plants.

Qualifications:
MSc Horticulture science (University of KwaZulu Natal); BSc Horticulture science (university of KwaZulu Natal); B. Tech Horticulture technology (University of South Africa); National diploma in horticulture technology (University of South Africa).
Research interests:
Mr Mlungisi Mngoma is a plant Physiologist focuses on plant biochemical and physical processes includes, Plant production, leaf chlorophyll fluorescence, photochemistry and gaseous exchange as an active measures of plant stress. His current PhD research investigating the influence of different plant extract on obesity induced inflammation. The research intent to understand different phytochemical that are available in plant extracts has a potential to act as anti-obesity and anti-inflammatory
