Biography:
Ms Nolwazi Z. Khumalo is an nGAP lecturer at the University of Zululand, Department of Agriculture (Agribusiness), pursuing her PhD studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She is working on “The impact of climate-smart agriculture on urban small-scale crop farmers’ welfare in eThekwini Municipality” for her PhD studies. Ms Khumalo holds an MSc in Agriculture (Agribusiness) Cum Laude obtained from the University of Zululand. Ms Khumalo has previously lectured at the Mangosuthu University of Technology in the Agribusiness section (2020/21) and as a contract lecturer at the University of Zululand in 2021.

Qualifications:
BSc in Agriculture (Agribusiness)
MSc in Agriculture (Agribusiness) (Cum-Laude) (An assessment of the contribution of peri-urban agriculture on household food security in Tongaat, eThekwini Municipality).
Research interests:
Ms Khumalo’s research interests are not limited to but include climate change, food security, food policy, urban and peri-urban agriculture.
