University of Zululand is seeking to employ contract lecturers in the Department of Engineering, established in 2021 housed at UNIZULU Richards bay Campus.
There are:
- Two one-year contract positions in the BEng Electrical Engineering programme and
- Two one-year contract positions in BEng Mechanical Engineering programme
To take up the position, the required qualifications at undergrad are BScEng/BEng degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering together with a postgrad qualification; MScEng/MEng in Electrical/Mechanical or higher.
Applicants should be South African Citizens.
The department is in its second year of operation and the sought for lecturers are required to lecture at 2nd year level of the discipline subscribed to.
The courses in Electrical Engineering include:
- Signals and Systems I
- Analogue Electronics Design
- Professional Communications
- Introduction to Power Machines
- Embedded Systems
The courses in Mechanical Engineering include:
- Project Management
- Mechanics of Solids I
- Materials Science in Engineering
- Thermofluids I
- Dynamics I
- Mechanical Engineering and Machine Element Design I
The interested person will need to relocate to Richards Bay and will be required to take up duties as soon as possible. The remuneration per annum is about R 500 000.00
