Biography:

Mrs. Nokubonga Mkhwanazi is a registered nurse currently serving as a clinical instructor in the Department of Nursing Science at the University of Zululand main campus. She brings a wealth of experience from her diverse roles, including work in various general nursing units in public tertiary and private hospitals, phlebotomy in a pathological laboratory, research data collection at the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI), ICU nursing, and as the pioneering nursing services manager at a new private hospital. Her passion for teaching grew during these experiences, inspiring her to pursue further education at the University of Zululand, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing education and administration.

  •  Professional informatics and communication in Nursing
  • Psychiatric Nursing Science
  • General nursing science.

Qualifications:

  • B Cur Nursing science (general nursing, psychiatric nursing and midwifery) – UKZN
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing education and administration- UNIZULU

Certificates

  • Theoretical and practical training in neonatal, infant and child phlebotomy, including laboratory procedures 2010 through Ampath laboratories.
  • SETA ETQA certificate on Supervisory Development Management (conflict management, time management, problem solving and performance management) through NIMICO training.
  • Preceptorship certificates -University of Western Cape
  • Assessor and moderator registered by SANC
